Beta terms

Short version: Overgod is in beta, it's free while it is, and you're in charge of your server.

The service

Overgod is a free Paper plugin plus a hosted service (the Director) run by Extremely Cool Studios. The plugin connects your server to the Director, which decides what happens next and sends back actions from a fixed list. It can't run commands, change blocks, or touch anything it didn't spawn.

The beta

• Access is by invite. It's free during the beta.
• Things will change, break and get fixed. Worlds may be reset if the storage format changes; we'll say so first.
• We can pause or end a world that abuses the service, for example by trying to make Overgod say harmful things.

Your server

• You're responsible for your server, your players and the rules you set (cruelty, chat mode, safe zones).
• Tell your players Overgod is running. The plugin shows every player a one-time notice and lets them opt out.
• Keep your host key private. Anyone with it can change your world's settings or delete it.

Content

Lines Overgod writes are generated and moderated, but no filter is perfect. If something gets through that shouldn't, use /overgod veto, tell us, and we'll fix the rules. Addon packs you write stay yours.

Paid plans and pre-orders

Founder pre-orders are sold through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record: Dodo takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends the receipt. If paid plans don't launch, pre-orders are refunded in full. Paid plans will require the person paying to be an adult.

Minecraft

NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. Overgod follows Mojang's guidelines: the plugin is free and nothing gives players a gameplay advantage for money.

No warranty

The beta is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Extremely Cool Studios isn't liable for lost worlds, downtime or anything a god said in character.
